This application serves as a valuable tool for practicing addition and subtraction, equipped with a large number keypad and a dedicated worksheet area. It features a designated scratch area for carryovers in addition and an easy-to-use cross-out section for subtraction. The design specifically addresses challenges related to inaccuracies in key presses due to hand movement and coordination difficulties, making it particularly suitable for users in need of such accommodations. Notably, the user experience is optimized for iPads, given their larger display compared to iPhones.

Features:

Adjustable key repetition delay, aimed at minimizing accidental presses, which is especially beneficial for children with ataxia or similar medical conditions affecting precision.
An interface designed to register key presses that might otherwise be missed due to pressing anomalies caused by ataxia or other hand movement issues.
Options to show or hide placement value labels (thousands, hundreds, etc.), allowing for customizable learning experiences.
Control over the visibility of the thousands column to streamline user interface based on individual needs.
A button to check answers, providing instant feedback to learners.
A feature that automatically advances the cursor to the next input cell during typing, promoting a natural flow of input.
Dedicated scratch area for handling addition carryovers and subtraction borrowing to enhance calculation clarity.
An option to cross out numbers during subtraction, simplifying the visual aspect of the process.

This application was developed with my son in mind, as he requires a larger display for numbers and sometimes faces challenges related to hand stability while pressing keys.
